HachiBot Quadruped Robot

A 12-degree-of-freedom robot dog from Beijing’s HachiBot, sold in three editions on one shared body: a Basic edition for companion use with phone-app control, a Developer edition that adds an RK3588S computer (6 TOPS), fisheye binocular vision, TOF depth and ultrasonic sensors, SLAM mapping and navigation, and full C++/Python/joint SDKs, and a Professional edition that further adds a long-endurance remote with live HD video and voice, satellite positioning and ground-contact detection. Availability note: HachiBot sells through an intention pre-order form, publishes no price, and its site material dates from early 2023 — so every PupRobot quote first confirms current availability, configuration and price with HachiBot before anything is promised. Sold quote-only.

Description

Good for:

  • Developers and labs who want a mid-size (18 kg) quadruped with documented SDKs and a real sensor suite (Developer / Professional editions)
  • Companion-robot buyers who want the face-screen pet experience (the Basic edition’s app-controlled companion positioning)
  • Educators demonstrating SLAM, mapping and autonomous navigation on a ready platform

Not for:

  • Anyone expecting the Basic edition to develop on — it has no sensors, no SLAM and no SDK; that is what the Developer edition is for
  • Buyers who need a published warranty, box contents or an IP rating — HachiBot publishes none of them (protection is described only as splash-proof)
  • Buyers who need guaranteed immediate availability — see the availability note; fulfilment is confirmed per quote

What a quote includes:

First, confirmation from HachiBot that the model and edition are currently available and at what price — HachiBot takes intention pre-orders only and publishes no price. Then your chosen edition (Basic, Developer or Professional), the standard box contents as confirmed with HachiBot (not published), plus freight and duties as one landed total, confirmed by email before any payment. The renders show white/black and pink/rose-gold finishes; HachiBot does not name orderable colours, so your quote confirms the finish you would receive.

Delivery, total cost & warranty:

Ships from China. The battery is 5000 mAh at 36 V nominal (HachiBot does not publish a watt-hour figure); your quote confirms the freight routing and the landed total for your country before any payment. Warranty terms are not published by HachiBot and are confirmed in your quote.

Product FAQ:

Q: What is the difference between the three editions? A: One body, three fits. Basic: 4-core CPU, WiFi 5, app remote control — no vision sensors, no SLAM, no SDK. Developer: RK3588S (6 TOPS AI), fisheye binocular camera, two TOF depth cameras and four ultrasonic sensors, SLAM positioning, autonomous mapping and navigation, C++/Python/joint-control SDKs, WiFi 6, high-performance gait development, external 36 V/360 W power. Professional: everything in Developer plus a remote controller rated for 240 minutes with real-time HD video transmission and HD voice intercom, GPS+Galileo+BeiDou positioning and ground-contact detection.

Q: Is the body width 310 mm or 315 mm? A: HachiBot’s own spec sheet disagrees with itself — its table says 770 × 310 × 450 mm while its dimension drawing marks the width 315 mm. We list the table figure and flag the difference rather than average them.

Q: Can it really work as a companion pet? A: That is HachiBot’s own positioning for the hardware (face-screen expressions, voice interaction, following its owner). Note the smart features sit mainly in the Developer and Professional editions; the Basic edition is app-remote only.

Q: What is the price? A: HachiBot publishes no price for any edition. Your quote confirms availability and the current price with the manufacturer first.
