LimX TRON 2

LimX Dynamics’ modular embodied robot: one platform that combines into three forms — a dual-arm upper body (7-DOF arms, ±0.5 mm repeatability, 100 ms teleoperation latency), biped legs and wheel-legs — in a Standard edition and an EDU edition, positioned as a one-stop VLA development and mobile-manipulation platform with VR teleoperation, data collection and pre-installed example tasks. The EDU edition carries the SDK, the developer expansion module and VR teleoperation; the Standard edition does not. Three gaps to know up front: LimX publishes no whole-unit weight, dimensions or battery endurance for the TRON 2, so all three are confirmed in your quote. LimX publishes no price; sold quote-only.

Description

Good for:

  • Embodied-AI labs doing VLA research, teleoperation data collection and mobile manipulation (EDU edition)
  • Teams that want manipulation, biped and wheel-leg mobility on one modular platform
  • Buyers who need published expansion paths — a mobile-manipulation kit, a 48-line LiDAR perception kit and an auto-charging dock are spec’d on the official page

Not for:

  • Buyers who need development access on the Standard edition — SDK, secondary development, VR teleoperation and data logging are EDU-only
  • Buyers who need the robot’s weight, size or endurance before enquiring — none is published
  • Buyers who need an off-the-shelf published price

What a quote includes:

The TRON 2 in your chosen edition and form combination, plus any published expansion kits you select — the mobile-manipulation kit (a single 6-DOF arm, 1.5 kg payload, ±0.1 mm repeatability, RealSense D405 end camera), the perception kit (48-line LiDAR, depth camera, dual-antenna RTK at 3 cm, navigation, 100 TOPS compute module) and the auto-charging dock (for the wheel-foot form only; 13.9 kg; full spec on LimX’s page) — the standard box contents as confirmed with LimX, plus freight and duties as one landed total, confirmed by email before any payment. Your quote also confirms the whole-unit weight, dimensions and endurance, which LimX does not publish.

Delivery, total cost & warranty:

Ships from China; because the unit’s weight and size are unpublished, your quote confirms the freight routing and the landed total before any payment. Warranty follows LimX’s published after-sales policy — 12 months for the whole machine from receipt (wear parts excluded), key components extendable to 24 months on marked models, battery and charging system 6–12 months per the product page/contract; the applicable terms for your order are confirmed in the quote.

Product FAQ:

Q: Is the dual-arm load 10 kg or 5 kg?
A: LimX’s overview headline says “10 kg dual-arm load”; its spec table states 5 kg maximum for a single arm in extended pose and 3 kg rated per arm. We quote the table — the headline is the two arms’ combined marketing figure.

Q: There seem to be two different arms. Which is which?
A: The dual-arm FORM uses two 7-DOF arms (5 kg max / 3 kg rated, ±0.5 mm). The separate mobile-manipulation EXPANSION KIT uses a single lighter 6-DOF arm (1.5 kg, ±0.1 mm, 626.75 mm working radius). They are different products on the same page; the kit’s figures are not the form’s figures.

Q: EDU or Standard?
A: The EDU edition adds the developer expansion module (Intel Core Ultra architecture, 2T storage), the full SDK with Python/C++ and ROS1/ROS2, VR teleoperation of the dual arms, data-collection logging and dual-arm safety boundary protection, plus head and wrist RGBD cameras on the dual-arm form. The Standard edition runs LimX Studio only.

Q: What is the price?
A: LimX publishes no price for the TRON 2 or its kits. Your quote confirms the current prices and the landed total.
