Description
The Lite3 is DEEP Robotics’ compact research quadruped for education and locomotion/AI research — an open platform, not an industrial-duty robot. It comes in Basic / Venture / Pro / LiDAR configurations on the same compact body; higher configurations add perception compute, obstacle avoidance, visual following and (LiDAR version) autonomous navigation. All versions support ROS1/ROS2 and motion + perception SDKs for secondary development. Configuration and price are quoted per order.
Specifications (range across Basic → LiDAR configurations):
- Dimensions (standing): 610 × 370 × 406 mm (Basic) to 610 × 370 × 496 mm (LiDAR)
- Weight (with battery): 12.0–13.5 kg depending on configuration
- DOF: 12
- Continuous walking payload: 5 kg (Basic) to 2.5 kg (LiDAR)
- Terrain: max slope 40°; obstacle clearance up to 18 cm
- Battery/runtime: ~1.5–2 h continuous operation; range 2.7–5 km depending on configuration
- Compute: RK3588 motion host (all versions); NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX perception host (Pro/LiDAR)
- Sensors: wide-angle camera + dual ultrasonic; depth camera and LiDAR on higher configurations
- Interfaces (Pro/LiDAR): USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet, 24 V / 12 V / 5 V power outputs
- Note: no official IP rating — keep away from liquids
Good for / Not for
Good for: universities and labs; locomotion and gait research; perception prototyping on a compact platform. Not for: industrial all-weather duty (see the X30 Pro); applications that require a certified IP rating — DEEP Robotics publishes no official IP rating for the Lite3.
What a quote includes
Your quote defines the configuration (Basic / Venture / Pro / LiDAR), sensors and compute, accessories, freight to your destination and warranty terms in writing — before any payment.
Delivery, total cost & warranty
Ships from Zhangzhou, China as dangerous-goods freight (lithium battery); freight cost and lead time are quoted per destination and configuration. Warranty terms are confirmed per configuration in the quote.
Product FAQ
Q: What is the difference between the Lite3 versions?
A: Higher configurations add perception compute, obstacle avoidance and visual following; the LiDAR version adds autonomous navigation. Tell us your research goal and we will recommend a configuration.
Q: Does the Lite3 support secondary development?
A: Yes — all versions support ROS1/ROS2 and DEEP’s motion and perception SDKs, per DEEP Robotics.
Q: What do you need from me for a fast quote?
A: The configuration you have in mind, quantity, delivery country and postcode, and your use case. Use the Request a Quote button on this page — the product name is already filled in for you.
