Description
Good for:
- Universities and developers starting humanoid motion-control / RL research (the EDU edition)
- Labs that want point-foot, flat-foot and wheel-foot locomotion on one platform
- Buyers who need a published safety set — hardware e-stop, remote e-stop and a roll cage are standard
Not for:
- Buyers who need development access on the Standard edition — SDK, secondary development, data logging and joint control are EDU-only in LimX’s table
- Buyers who need a published total DOF figure — LimX does not publish one for the TRON 1
- Buyers who need an off-the-shelf published price
What a quote includes:
The TRON 1 in your chosen edition with its foot-end sets as fitted per edition (Standard: point-foot and flat-foot sets standard, wheel-foot not available; EDU: all three sets optional — confirm your set in the quote), the battery charging dock, any expansion kits you choose (mobile-manipulation kit, voice-interaction kit, perception kit with LiDAR + depth camera), the standard box contents as confirmed with LimX, plus freight and duties as one landed total, confirmed by email before any payment.
Delivery, total cost & warranty:
Ships from China; your quote confirms the routing and the landed total for your country before any payment. Warranty follows LimX’s published after-sales policy — 12 months for the whole machine from receipt (wear parts excluded), key components extendable to 24 months on marked models, battery and charging system 6–12 months per the product page/contract; the applicable terms for your order are confirmed in the quote. (The TRON 1 spec page carries no warranty row of its own; the general policy figure is used.)
Product FAQ:
Q: Standard or EDU — what actually differs?
A: Hardware is largely shared. Development is not: secondary development, the SDK, data visualisation, data logging/replay and joint-control functions are EDU-only. Sensors differ too: the IMU is fitted on both (EDU adds data access), and the RGBD camera is not available on Standard and optional on EDU. Foot sets: Standard includes point-foot and flat-foot sets; on EDU all three sets are optional extras.
Q: Does it support Isaac Sim / MuJoCo / Gazebo?
A: LimX’s overview page and documents advertise full URDF and simulator support, but its own spec table marks the simulation-platform row as not available on both editions — a contradiction on the manufacturer’s site. We flag it here; your quote confirms the current EDU software package.
Q: How many degrees of freedom does it have?
A: LimX does not publish a total DOF for the TRON 1 — only joint data (48V rated, 30 N·m rated / 60 N·m peak torque). We do not invent a total.
Q: What is the price?
A: LimX publishes no price for the TRON 1. Your quote confirms the current price per edition and the landed total.
